Breaking The Ice!

Fun wedding ideas to break the ice!

Fun wedding ideas to break the ice!

Breaking the ice with reserved crowds is a critical turning point in your celebration!  Here’s an idea for giving away the center pieces… This will force a little interaction that will be fun and entertaining for your guest.  It does require having a professional Dj with M.C. skills for the best results.

Your DJ will ask for one person at each table to produce  $1 bill. The DJ then plays music and the guest start passing the dollar to the right.

When the music stops so does the dollar. The person that ends up with the dollar is asked to stand up because they have just won…. an opportunity to dance around the table! (Your guest will laugh if the DJ delivers the news comically)

Have that person dance around the table as long as the music from the DJ is playing.  When the music stops so does the person. The dollar is then handed to person sitting directly in front of the previous dancing person. The person that now has the dollar has just won… an opportunity to dance around the table! (Your guest will laugh if the DJ delivers the news comically)

This is a stopping point if you wish.  The last person handed the dollar can be the winner. Or…

You can continue by having the last person with the dollar in hand bring their chair to the center of the dance floor for a round of musical chairs! By the time you reach this point the ice has been broken, but going forward with musical chairs will have all your guest laughing and smiling from ear to ear. The last event I went to the mother of the bride won the musical chairs round and the party went wild!
